Why it exists where it does
The location is the entire idea, and it is a genuinely clever one.
The Miccosukee Service Plaza is the only rest stop on the 80-mile stretch of I-75 connecting Naples to Miami, running through Miccosukee reservation land across the Everglades. Everyone driving between Florida's coasts stops here, because there is nowhere else to stop.
The plaza carries a fuel station, twelve Tesla charging stations, a convenience store and restrooms. The casino was added alongside them.
