We have reviewed 16 casino floors across Florida, and the most useful thing to know about them is not their size. It is who runs them. Only six of the sixteen put a live dealer behind a blackjack table, and all six belong to the Seminole Tribe. The other ten split into two camps: eight pari-mutuel venues that grew out of racetracks and jai alai frontons, and two Miccosukee properties whose machines run on a bingo system underneath. The sign over the door tells you more about the game mix than any brochure will.

Three operators, three game menus

Seminole floors (6). House-banked blackjack, craps, roulette and baccarat with live dealers, plus conventional slots. Everyone gambling must be 21. These are the only places in the state where you will find a real pit.

Pari-mutuel floors (8). Slots, electronic versions of blackjack and roulette, and in most cases a live poker room, because poker is played between customers rather than against the house. Our venue pages note that these venues generally admit 18-year-olds to poker and race or jai alai wagering while keeping slots at 21. All eight we cover sit in Broward or Miami-Dade.

Miccosukee floors (2). Bingo-based machines that play much like slots, a large bingo hall at the main resort, and poker. No blackjack tables of any kind. Neither property publishes a single minimum age, so bring ID and ask.

Miami-Dade: five floors, no dealers

The county's four pari-mutuel rooms and the Miccosukee resort mean Miami has plenty of poker and no live pit. Casino Miami runs a 24-table room beside a working jai alai fronton. Magic City near the airport has an 18 to 19 table room and an outdoor amphitheatre. Hialeah Park puts some of its 23 poker tables out on a veranda where cigars are allowed. Calder at Miami Gardens has the county's biggest floor at roughly 100,000 square feet but closed its poker room in 2014. Out on the Tamiami Trail, Miccosukee Casino & Resort pairs 1,700-plus machines with a bingo hall of more than 1,050 seats and a 302-room hotel.

Broward: seven floors, three of them Seminole

This is the densest cluster in the state. Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, home of the 450-foot Guitar Hotel, lists 200 live tables and a 45-table poker room. Seminole Coconut Creek is the locals' floor with 2,200-plus slots and a non-smoking section. Seminole Classic stands on the site of the tribe's 1979 bingo hall, the case that launched tribal gaming nationally. On the pari-mutuel side, Harrah's Pompano Beach has a 40-plus table WSOP room and an open-air slot terrace, The Big Easy runs a 30-plus table room on a track that opened in 1934, The Casino @ Dania Beach has had jai alai since 1953, and Gulfstream Park is a thoroughbred track racing year-round with a modest casino attached.

Tampa: the biggest floor in the state

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa carries 5,230 slot machines and 168 table games, the largest machine count in Florida, with a 46-table poker room, 802 hotel rooms and the biggest review base of any Florida casino at more than 59,000 Google ratings.

The southwest and the interior

Three quieter floors fill the middle of the map. Seminole Immokalee in Collier County farm country has 38 live tables from $10 and a six-table WPT poker room. Seminole Brighton Bay, opened in February 2025 north-west of Lake Okeechobee, has 640 slots, 18 tables and a bowling alley. Little Trail is a 94-machine Miccosukee room at the Alligator Alley service plaza on I-75, opened in February 2024.
